PNKY Travel Café: Take A Trip Around the World as You Dine

Baguio has been a long time favorite vacation destination for many because of the variety of tourist spots and its cold climate. Artists and travelers are particularly drawn to this city perhaps because of the peaceful atmosphere and beautiful sceneries. Also, Baguio has some interesting themed cafes that are waiting to be seen, discovered, and experienced – and one of them is a lifestyle travel café called PNKY Travel Café.

PNKYTravelCafé is part and parcel of PNKY Home & Cafe, not only because all accommodations include a full breakfast prepared by the cafe, but also because it aims to make you feel right at home by serving you comfort food prepared in a fresh and familiar way!

This small but quaint café is a visual wonder adorned with vintage furniture, colorful decors and a variety of art pieces. Being inside the café makes you feel relaxed and right at home as the area is surrounded by trees which are beautiful to look at from the café’s wide windows.

For kawaii lifestyle enthusiasts, this can be an ideal hangout place especially for those who are into mori, natural, dolly and cult party kei (style) because their style fits the look and feel of the café. Also, its ambiance has this old world charm that reminds you of some Studio Ghibli films such as Kiki’s Delivery Service, My Neighbor Totoro and Arrietty.

The owners, the Magsino family, are travel bugs and the concept of the PNKY café was inspired from their love for travelling. The various displays and decorations in the café are some of the items that they have acquired during their trip to different parts of the world while the others are art pieces that the Magsino siblings have created. Aside from knickknacks and art, one of the Magsinos’ great discoveries that they have brought home to PNKY Café is their love for food.

PNKY Café serves comfort food from various countries that are prepared using fresh homegrown ingredients. The café’s must try dishes are the following:

El Secreto Salad and La Tomatina Soup

Beef a la Seine & Crepe de la Crepe

Other than the café, the PNKY franchise also includes PNKY Collection, a collection of Filipino antiques, furniture and lifestyle accessories that are for sale, and early this year, they have launched their newest project Bioessence Spa at PNKY.

When you’re in Baguio, make sure to drop by the PNKY Travel Café for a great dining experience. Let the Magsino family share with you their art and stories about their travels through their interesting collection of ornaments and good comfort food.
