SCHOOL OF KAWAII S.Y. 2015-2016: Workshop #4 “Lolita Dressmaking Basics”

Kawaii Philippines’ School of Kawaii held their fourth workshop at The Bunny Baker Cafe featuring Justine Chantelle of Dorotee Sweetlips called “Lolita Dressmaking Basics“. The session began with the introduction about lolita fashion and the usual styles seen in lolita dresses. The participants started to learn basic drafting and how it’s commonly done by professional dressmakers.

Miss Justine also shared the easiest way to transfer regular drafts to make a custom one. The students then, made their own drafts and added personal details and changes to the original version that was taught. Miss Justine also showed how to add and sew darts, collars, neckline shapes, sleeves, and transfer patterns to the fabric.
